Managing Properties & Transactions

Written by Oliver Chiang

Nexus automatically pulls your property information and relevant income and expense transactions directly from your connected property management system.

This includes:

  • Property

  • Rental income

  • Management fees

  • Maintenance expenses

  • Other recorded transactions managed by your property manager

By syncing this data automatically, Nexus provides a consolidated financial view without you needing to manually re-enter information. As your property manager updates records, Nexus reflects those updates to help keep your reporting accurate and up to date.

To view properties, simply select "Properties" from the navigation menu. You should be presented with a list of properties you own, based on our record.

How to View Property Transactions

  1. Go to the Properties page
From your dashboard, navigate to your list of properties.

  2. Select a property
Click on the property you want to review.

  3. View Transactions
You will automatically be taken to the property’s Transactions view.

  4. Review Income and Expenses
Here you can see all synced income and expense transactions associated with that property, including those pulled from your property manager (and, soon, any manually added transactions).

Adding Missing Transactions (Coming Soon)

We understand that not all financial activity flows through your property manager.

Soon, Nexus will allow property owners to manually add transactions that may not be captured in the property management system. This may include:

  • Direct expenses you’ve paid yourself

  • Additional income not processed by the manager

  • One-off adjustments

  • Other out-of-system transactions

This enhancement will help you build a more complete and accurate picture of your

overall property performance.

Bank Feeds (Future Enhancement)

To further streamline your workflow, Bank Feeds will be introduced in a future update.

Bank Feeds will allow you to securely connect your bank account so that relevant transactions can be automatically imported and matched to your properties. This will:

  • Reduce manual data entry

  • Improve accuracy

  • Ensure no transactions are missed

  • Provide a near real-time financial overview
