What You Need To know

Landlord Studio allows you to connect your bank account and import transactions automatically, which makes reconciling your accounts easier and faster. In this guide, we will walk you through how to unreconcile transactions and ignore irrelevant ones.

  • This feature is currently only available in the USA, UK, and Canada.

  • We have partnered with Plaid and will be rolling this feature out to the rest of the world as they expand into new countries.

  • When choosing your subscription plan it's important to note that Bank feeds is only available on our PRO plan.

How to unreconcile a transaction

Reconciled transactions can be unreconciled to correct any errors or mistakes caused by bank reconciliation.

  1. Select the "Reconciled" tab in Bank Feeds. You will be shown a list of reconciled transactions in the specified time period.

  2. Select the transaction you'd like to unreconcile.

  3. Verify the details of the transaction. Select the "Unreconcile" button located at the bottom right corner of the item.

  4. Confirm the action to unreconcile the transaction.

Note: By unreconciling, the payment or expense transactions created by the transaction will be permanently removed from the system.

How to ignore a transaction

Not every transaction (such as your personal income or expense) is a deductible expense or a related income that needs to be tracked for your end-of-year taxes.

For the irrelevant transactions you don’t want to track, you can IGNORE them to remove them from your feed.

  1. Select the "To review tab" in Bank Feeds and look for any transactions that are not relevant to your property portfolio.

  2. Select the transaction you'd like to ignore and simply select the "Ignore" button.

  3. You may choose to use the bulk ignore feature if there are multiple transactions to remove. To remove items in bulk, select all of the transactions you want to bulk edit by clicking on the round circle located at the start of each transaction.

  4. Once you have selected the transactions in bulk, select the "Actions" button and choose "Ignore" to remove all selected transactions.

Note: You can undo this anytime by going to the "All" tab.
