Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an extra layer of security for your Landlord Studio.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an extra layer of security for your Landlord Studio account designed to ensure that you're the only person who can access your account, even if someone knows your password.

Email 2FA is a security best practice. It is applied to all accounts and cannot be disabled.

2FA is especially important should you choose to take advantage of features such as online rent collection and/or bank feeds that may deal with sensitive information.

About 2FA with Landlord Studio

There are several scenarios email 2FA will be required.

  1. When you create an account with Landlord Studio,

  2. If you log out completely and then log back in or login on a new device,

  3. When you update your password or email address.

In the above scenarios, you’ll be asked to enter a verification code that is sent to your email address along with your password to log in. Two-factor authentication improves the security of your account and all the personal information you store within the system.

Once signed in, you won’t be asked for a verification code on that device again unless you sign out completely on that device or change your email or password for security reasons.

How does it work?

Step 1: Navigate to the login page and enter your email address and password.

Step 2: An email will be sent to your account email address.

Step 3: Navigate to your email provider and open the email

Step 4: Copy the unique code into the 2FA box and click “Verify”.

What if you can’t find the 2FA email?

It may take a couple of minutes for you to receive the email so first of all try refreshing your browser.

If the email still hasn’t been delivered check your spam folder. If it is in your spam folder remember to click “Not Spam” to ensure future emails from us are delivered correctly.

Finally, double check you’ve entered the correct email address.
